She looks over Daddy’s shoulder to see which precincts tipped for or away from NYC’s first socialist mayor of her lifetime, learns about Staten Island.
Child explains why she is still using parents’ bedroom mirror to get ready despite Daddy having installed giant mirror closet in her room
I will allow this ONLY because I believe that the thing that saves us all is more social interactments (though you all don’t need to get dressed in our bedroom)
child crawls into parents’ bed after being awakened by an ominous hum
when kina was first born, we were super hesitant to have her in the bed, because we didn’t want to smother her, but it was the middle of january and so cold and she would cry and cry all night. eventually, we gave up and plopped her between us in the bed and she slept like a log. we did not do it for long, but every once in a while, she hears a noise and crawls between us at four in the morning, and it is wonderful until she slaps me in the face for snoring.
Even Mommy’s friend in Tokyo cannot unearth extremely niche get-up
There are Ai Hoshino costumes from OTHER scenes in the series that are kid sized. There are Ai Hoshino costumes from the correct scene but for adults. There are no kid-sized Ai Hoshino costumes from the correct scene anywhere in the world, and it is the worst thing in Kina’s life.
Great pains are taken to find her house; she watches the plane as it flies.
True New Yorkers know the wonder of the panorama. It is a pilgrimage Kina last took almost exactly three years ago, but something has since clicked in her, and now she thinks it’s super cool. The plane, to be fair, is super cool.
The tomato poster looked too lonely, but now it’s in good company
That poster has been rolled up in a packing tube for longer than Kina has been alive so this is a major accomplishment. Also happy anniversary to me and Kina‘s mommy who are very very happy to be here together and with her. Seventeen years!!!
