It is hard to find another human being more energetic than Kina, but her Lala fits the bill. The two of them, together, make a cacophonous pairing. But this morning, after I suffered through a long sleepless night, Kina was at her very kindest, urging Lala to just take it easy as I rested in the bedroom, giving me a gentle kiss on the forehead before sliding out to some sweet grandparent time. They were very quiet, as promised. I’m doing better. The sugar helped.
