How do you explain traditions to a kid who barely knows routines? All I know is that I ate pasta tonight with Kina for Daddy-Daughter Time, read a special book that only the two of us read, and tucked her in with a story about Baby Rainbow Unicorn and Nicola, as told by a bird. Traditions she can live with, as long as you don’t talk about ‘em.
